I believe that helping those in need by getting involved in community organizations, either through volunteering or by making a financial contribution, is a very rewarding experience. I love being involved, but the most important thing for me is knowing that by taking the time to give back, somewhere it will make a difference for someone in need. For some, every penny counts, but I believe that every second counts.

Joining the Board of Directors in 2011, Josée is pleased to have the opportunity to share in the important role that Providence Care plays in our community. The Providence Care Board of Directors is composed of citizens from the geographically diverse communities served by Providence Care who have the expertise and commitment to translate our mission of compassionate care into policies, plans and programs.

H’Art Centre

H'Art Centre - inclusive arts for all abilities

Josée has been a proud supporter of H'Art Centre since 2003 sitting as President of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2012. H’art Centre is an award winning registered not-for-profit, charitable community arts hub that provides artists with disabilities and those facing barriers with opportunities to create, study and produce works in the arts and collaborate with qualified, trained community artists.
We do this to nurture a vibrant, exciting and supportive culture that encourages artists, staff, volunteers and audiences to reach beyond limiting beliefs and expectations. To value and recognize artists individually for their abilities, and to share this understanding with the world.

Frontenac County Plowmen Association (FCPA)

A member of the board since 2003, Josée currently serves as the President of the FCPA. Over the years Josée has been a hands-on supporter of the Rural Show and Plowing Match hosted by the association each year. This event offers demonstrations of different activities of rural life as well as allowing members an opportunity to participate in some friendly competition in the sport of plowing. United Way KFL&A

This past Christmas, Thériault Wealth Management Team set out to provide kids in need with hats and mitts as the colder winter months set in. Cooperating wth the KFL&A faction of the United Way, they were able to go above and beyond their expectations with the help of some very generous donations from coworkers, clients, and friends and family.  

Davies Award for Philanthropic Leadership

Josée has always been passionate about the community and its members and this year, she was recognized with the Davies Award for Philanthropic Leadership. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding philanthropic leadership benefiting Kingston’s healthcare facilities and the provision of healthcare for the people of Kingston and southeastern Ontario.
