Elder Wellness Consultation

Navigating the complicated health care system for ageing adults can be overwhelming for caregivers, seniors and their families.

Helping to make sense of it all:
During a 60-minute complimentary Elder Wellness Consultation, Audrey Miller, registered social worker and recognized expert in life care planning, ageing and caregiving, introduces strategies to help clients and their families plan ahead for life’s various stages, and become better informed about the next chapter and the caregiving journey.

Qualifying clients and families will have an opportunity to participate in a guided interview and:
• Discuss concerns about ageing family members and how they are managing on their own
• Receive assistance with planning for immediate, intermediate and-long-term care needs and help identifying where support is needed
• Review cost of hiring caregivers
• Discuss how to access privately and publicly funded community based supports and resources
• Receive assistance with navigating the healthcare and home care system
• Learn how to identify ways to prevent caregiver burnout
• Learn about alternate living accommodations including retirement residences and long-term care facilities
