If you’ve spent years building a successful business and are starting to think about what your exit strategy might look like – look no further!

When Covid-19 hit, we had to put the brakes on our in-person, Ottawa based event with the CEO Whisperer, Cameron Herold.

But guess what? Double to Sell - Canada's premier, invitation-only workshop - is BACK! Virtually, of course!

Happening Nov 4 & 5, early bird tickets are available from August 10 – but don’t delay. Attendance is limited – and regular pricing begins October 12.

Double to Sell Exit Strategy

Double to Sell is a succession planning process designed to help you figure out how to get your vivid vision for the future in place, a vision that will result in either a multi-million dollar exit strategy OR a multi-million dollar business primed to roll over to the next generation and/or management team.

This isn’t a motivational talk “self-help day” kind of day, either. Be prepared to roll up those shirt sleeves and do some REALLY hard work.

You might already know our “Double to Sell” special guest, Cameron Herold, since he’s got QUITE the resume!

  • He was managing 14 employees by age 21
  • Built his first TWO $100 MILLION DOLLAR companies by age 35
  • At age 42 - and in just six years - took 1-800-GOT-JUNK? from $2 Million to $106 Million in revenue
  • And, in those same six years he landed over 5,200 media placements - including on Oprah

Trust me when I say Cameron’s the real deal!

He’s gone on to build a dynamic consultancy – but what his clients like most about him is that he isn’t a theory guy - he speaks only from his direct, personal experience.

So, I thought it would be fun to get to know Cameron a little deeper! More personally.

Less a “would you rather” and more a “ten questions about me” type experiment!

Let’s get started!

Ten Questions with Cameron Herold

In the past year, of all the books you’ve read - which has been your favourite and why?

Fave two were: Hard Thing About Hard Things - super tactical & implementable ideas for any midsized company from someone who has lived it. And Insanely Simple - about radically simplifying a company in all areas.

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received? And who was it from?

RND = Rip Off N Duplicate.

The best companies are likely already doing it the best way - just do what they are doing. From my dad.

If you could have a dinner party with 3 other people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Kennedy, Jobs & my Mom - all dead.

I’d love a gauge on how political Kennedy was, or if he was one of our last great from the herd leaders.

Jobs just to gain more of his insights.

My mom - just cuz I miss her - she died 18 years ago.

Ski chalet or tropical beach?

Ski chalet with the fire going, dinner cooking and my kids and girlfriend with me.

What was your first job?

Washing golf clubs & picking up range balls at our golf club - $3.52/hour!

Which project are you most excited to be working on right now?

Really growing the COO Alliance membership - with more, great ‘seconds in command’ of $5MM++ companies...

Forbes Magazine referred to you as “The CEO Whisperer”. That’s quite the compliment. What’s the best piece of advice you regularly give to CEOs or COOs?

Focus on the critical few things versus the important many.  And that the leader’s job is to grow people...

Do you have a favourite quote? If so, what is it?

"If you don’t know where you’re going then any road will take you there."  Cheshire Cat - it’s aligned with my Vivid Vision concept perfectly.

You’re going to be speaking virtually to business owners at the Double to Sell event in November, and helping them craft their $300 million dollar exit strategy. What’s your number one key message for business owners who may be thinking about exiting their business in the next 10 years?

Culture is everything - turn your company into a magnet for great people - and you can sell for an increased valuation easily.

And lastly, what’s the best thing about being Cameron Herold?

I have control over my time - to do what I want, when I want, with who I want. Makes work and life pretty enjoyable.

You might think having control over your time – doing what you want, when you want, with whoever you want - is just a pipedream. It isn’t.
