Abby specializes in tax and estate planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.
Her guidance supports clients in their relationships with their external professional advisors, with whom she frequently interacts.
Prior to joining High Net Worth Planning Services, Abby provided tax, retirement, estate and financial planning advice to RBC advisors and their clients. She has written articles on various topics including charitable donations, executive compensation, tax planning and retirement planning.
Prior to joining RBC, Abby worked in a medium sized accounting firm assisting business executives and high net worth clients with their tax planning and estate planning. She worked closely with owner-manager shareholders to assess and recommend the best tax planning strategies, the best corporate structure and the most suitable succession plan.
Abby is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor in Economics and Commerce from the University of Toronto. She completed the In-Depth tax courses I and II and the Canadian Securities Course. She is also a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has obtained the STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising. Abby is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Rebecca has been working in a financial planning capacity since 1999 and brings to her role much care in helping clients meet their goals. She has a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree from Trent University and has maintained an ongoing commitment to continued learning in the areas of tax, estate and business owner planning.
Rebecca holds the Certified Financial Planner designation from the Financial Planning Standards Council of Canada and has completed the Professional Financial Planner and Canadian Securities Courses. She is registered as a Full Life Agent with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Rebecca has also taught retirement planning at George Brown College in Toronto.
Rebecca works extensively with high net worth clients including business owners, executives and professionals and has considerable expertise with more advanced tax and estate planning strategies.
As a Private Banker with RBC Wealth Management, Heather Silverston provides comprehensive wealth management and financing strategies for domestic and international high-net-worth business owners, executives, families and organizations in the Greater Toronto Area.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry at RBC, Heather helps clients with her in-depth knowledge and valued advice on integrated wealth management solutions to simplify and enhance their lives.
Prior to joining RBC Private Banking in 2018, Heather held positions in RBC Commercial Banking specializing in the Health Care industry.
Heather collaborates with external partners and advisers across RBC to deliver customized and complex credit solutions to meet clients' financial goals. Heather and her team aim to build a long-term relationship with their clients based on integrity, trust, communication, and confidentiality. They further aim to differentiate themselves through dedicated and exceptional service, and consistently delivering results for their clients.
Heather has a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto in Commerce and Finance. She was born and raised in Toronto. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, and keeping active with running, exercise and golf.
As a Will & Estate Consultant, Megan Brown provides comprehensive estate planning services to clients.
Megan completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University, obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario bar in 1998. For most of the fifteen years following her call to the bar, Megan was in private practice, specializing in the areas of estate planning and administration, incapacity planning, trust planning and administration, family business succession and charities law. Megan joined RBC Wealth Management in February 2013.
Megan is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner with STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and has completed Levels I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.
