Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
With over three decades of experience in financial services, Jean has established himself as a trusted, knowledgeable, and client-focused advisor for high-net-worth clients and their families. As founder, senior portfolio manager, and wealth advisor of Team Marchand Filiatrault, having partnered with Patrice Filiatrault in 2017, Jean prides himself on building lifelong relationships with clients and providing a family office approach to address their complex and ever-evolving needs. Through his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, he has built one of the most formidable and experienced teams at RBC Dominion Securities, and empowers them daily to grow and protect the wealth our clients have worked so hard to build. As he puts it, “Our clients have taken many risks to achieve success—picking the right investment advisor shouldn’t be one of them.”
Jean is a graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. In addition to earning his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, Jean is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the pinnacle credential and highest honour in Canadian financial services for those who demonstrate unparalleled leadership, integrity, and dedication to their clients. He also holds his insurance of persons license, enabling him to provide a truly comprehensive approach in all aspects of wealth management.
In his spare time, Jean is an active family man who enjoys spending quality time with those closest to him. He and his family enjoy visiting their cottage for a variety of activities including fishing, boating, surfing, swimming, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. He can also be found serenading himself—and those willing to listen—with his guitar.
Senior Portfolio Manager
Patrice began his career in the investment industry in 1993 and joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1995, holding various esteemed positions across North America and Europe including portfolio advisor and director of North American equity sales. For over a decade, Patrice honed his skills as senior portfolio manager at RBC Global Asset Management, where he co-managed several key funds and institutional mandates. In 2017, after serving as vice president and portfolio manager at another globally recognized asset management firm, Patrice joined forces with Jean Marchand to form Team Marchand Filiatrault. Today, as senior portfolio manager, he leverages his passion for investing, breadth of experience, and depth of understanding to shape a robust investment philosophy that is foundational to our investment approach. From directing our team in identifying high-quality, low-risk investment opportunities through fundamental analysis to constructing a personalized portfolio, Patrice does it all to ensure our clients’ success—now and into the future.
Patrice earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Montreal’s École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC), and shortly thereafter earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a globally recognized mark of distinction for high-performing professionals in the investment industry.
Outside of the office, Patrice is very active in both body and mind. He enjoys playing a variety of sports, long-distance biking, and cross-country skiing. He also likes spending time with his parents and friends, wine tasting, playing chess, reading, and travelling the world.
Associate Wealth Advisor
As an associate wealth advisor, Anik offers highly personalized financial support and coordinates the implementation of various financial and tax planning strategies. Her extensive professional experience and interpersonal skills allow her to adapt her consulting approach according to the reality, needs, and specific objectives of each client.
With more than seventeen years of experience in the field of taxation, Anik holds a master’s degree in law, with a specialization in taxation, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a specialization in finance, from HEC Montreal. She also holds the Financial Planner designation from the Institute of Financial Planning (IPF) and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, the latter being a globally recognized mark of professional expertise in the trust and estate industry. In addition, she completed the IPF’s specialization program, Coaching and Advising Entrepreneurs in IPFP (CAE), allowing her to have an in-depth knowledge for the support of our entrepreneurial clients.
Her remarkable professional career has led her to various key roles within RBC Dominion Securities and for different major organizations specializing in taxation, financial planning, and multi-family office advisory services.

Associate Portfolio Manager
Beginning his career at RBC Dominion Securities in 2000 as a summer student, Philippe has established himself as a respected financial services expert with decades of experience. Having joined Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2011, he has held practically every role on the team, making him a go-to resource for team members and clients alike. Today, as associate portfolio manager, Philippe splits his time between three main priorities: managing client relationships for almost 200 of our family office clients, supporting Jean and Patrice with portfolio management strategy related to equities and bonds, and conducting business development with our banking partners. He takes great pride in getting to know our clients and their families, understanding the complexities of the markets, and simplifying it so that they can attain true peace of mind.
Philippe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Committed to continual education, he has also earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and was granted the title of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the highest honour in Canadian financial services.
Hailing from Saint-Eustache, Québec, Philippe remains active in the community. He enjoys taking care of his two daughters and son, all of whom enjoy playing a variety of sports. In his spare time, Philippe likes to stay fit, work on his home, and coach soccer and hockey. He is also an enthusiast of deer and moose hunting.
Mario’s storied career is testament to his depth of experience, expertise, and excellent ability at forming long-lasting relationships. Starting out in 1984 as chief administrative officer, he has held innumerable key positions including corporate account manager, branch manager, and private banker across Royal Bank. Today, as associate wealth advisor for Team Marchand Filiatrault of RBC Dominion Securities, he leverages over four decades of hard-earned knowledge to guide clients and their families through the day-to-day responsibilities of managing their wealth. Observant and thoughtful, he seeks to understand our clients’ value systems, uncover their needs, and create all-encompassing wealth plans to help them accomplish their long-term objectives. He finds deep satisfaction in helping our clients simplify their lives with his specialized level of expertise and deep care.
A graduate of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Mario holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance). He also earned the Financial Planner (F.Pl.) designation in 2005 which he leverages to support our clients’ various and complex financial planning needs.
Mario grew up in a small town in the Mauricie region of Québec and after a few trips around the world settled in Greater Montreal. A loving father of three grown children, doting grandfather of three grandsons, and youngest sibling of a family of 10, Mario is family oriented and loves finding ways to spend time together. His family cottage in Mauricie is of special significance, and he prides himself on preserving and improving it for the entire family to enjoy together.
Associate Advisor
Kevin is a dedicated financial services professional who joined the industry with Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2019. Growing from an administration role to associate advisor, today he is primarily responsible for myGPS planning projections, fixed income trading, and working alongside our senior wealth advisors to deliver a family office approach for our clients and their multigenerational families. A self-described “extroverted introvert,” Kevin truly enjoys the mix of in-depth analytics and client interaction that his role provides.
A graduate of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce, Kevin remains invested in growing his knowledge and skills related to investment management and wealth planning. He enjoys keeping a finger on the pulse of the markets and analyzing the effects it has on our clients’ lives.
Hailing from Montreal, Québec, Kevin enjoys taking advantage of all the city has to offer, from strolling the streets to stopping at coffee shops. He also enjoys working out at home, cooking, swimming, and travelling to new destinations.
Senior Associate Advisor
Ginette is a highly experienced and dedicated wealth professional with over three decades of financial services experience, having joined Royal Bank in 1988 and RBC Dominion Securities in 1992. She started as a summer student and has held increasingly senior roles at the firm including regional branch administrator. As senior associate advisor for Team Marchand Filiatrault, Ginette is proud to work alongside our clients and their families to deliver our family office approach, handling a range of inquiries and requests—even the most complex—with the highest level of professionalism and care. Additionally, she coordinates with our wealth management specialists and clients’ external professionals, while also taking care of our marketing and communications efforts. Ginette is trusted by team members and clients alike to find the very best solutions to their needs. In her words, “a happy client and team makes my day!”
A graduate of the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC), Ginette obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) and has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) from the Canadian Securities Institute. In recognition of her outstanding achievements and dedication to her team and clients, she was awarded the prestigious RBC Performance Gold Award in 2016.
Ginette and her husband, André, are proud to call Laval home. They love going on long walks together, camping in Sainte-Agathe, travelling the world, and spending time with their two daughters, Sandra and Chloé. She and her family are regular supporters of the Fondation Autism Laurentides (FAL).
Cynthia boasts nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry, having joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1996 and Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2002. She plays a vital role in managing a range of responsibilities that revolve around the efficient and effective running of our team, especially in relation to client service and relations, organizing and prepping for meetings, and following up on client inquiries with skill and care. Leveraging her unparalleled understanding of each client’s specific needs, as well as her mastery of complex affairs, Cynthia prides herself on providing a highly personalized experience to the families she serves.
Since joining RBC, Cynthia has continued to expand her portfolio management expertise. She is also licensed by the Canadian Securities Institute and is life and health insurance licensed.
Cynthia lives in Mirabel and is the proud mother of her daughter, Élody, a clinical nurse. Over the past few years, she has discovered a real passion for golf and enjoys participating in friendly competitions at her club and with Golf Québec. She also enjoys travelling and sharing precious moments with her loved ones.
Michèle joined Royal Bank in 1990 and began her career at RBC Dominion Securities in 1999. She successfully completed courses from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2004 and became a valued member of Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2011.
Michèle is responsible for a range of important tasks and functions on our team including client service, relationship management, as well as handling the coordination of our wealth management approach. With over 35 years of experience and the countless close relationships she’s built with our partners across RBC, Michèle offers a wealth of knowledge and personalized service to help efficiently guide our clients through the administrative process. Her discipline, dedication, and interpersonal skills inspire immense confidence and peace of mind in those she serves.
In addition to her ongoing interest in the financial services field, Michèle loves spending quality time with family and friends and exploring the outdoors.
Administrative Assistant
Sarah joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2018 and shortly thereafter become a valued member of Team Marchand Filiatrault. As an experienced administrative assistant, she is responsible for a range of administrative tasks that are essential to the efficient and effective functioning of our daily operations. In addition, she ensures all necessary client documentation is completed accurately and in a timely fashion while providing a stress-free, positive experience for our clients.
In 2020, Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accountancy from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. A lover of learning, she looks forward to growing alongside our team and honing her various skills.
Sarah grew up in Montreal and continues to live nearby. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on long walks with her dog. She actively supports Rescue All Dogs (RAD), a Montreal-based non-profit organization focused on rescuing dogs from dire situations.
Stéphanie is an experienced and dedicated administrative assistant with over 14 years of financial services experience. Since joining Team Marchand Filiatrault of RBC Dominion Securities in 2021, she has proven herself to be an efficient expert in a variety of duties related to client service and administration, and her detail-oriented approach continues to help improve efficiency for our team. Over the years, she’s truly come to appreciate the camaraderie and friendships she’s been fortunate enough to build with our team members and clients alike, and she looks forward to continue supporting our clients’ goals moving forward.
Stéphanie grew up in Laval, Québec and remains here to this day. In her spare time, she enjoys taking on restoration projects at home, fishing in the surrounding lakes, and trying new recipes in the kitchen. She is an active supporter of cancer research.
Investment Associate
Drawn to the financial services industry by his desire to help others grow their legacy, Emmanuel began working as banking associate at another leading financial institution before joining Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2024. Today, as investment associate, he is responsible for supporting our team with trade executions, portfolio rebalancing, and ensuring our clients’ asset allocation is aligned to their unique investment policy statements.
A graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce, major in Finance, from the John Molson School of Business, Emmanuel earned the coveted Finance Medal for achieving the highest average of all students in his graduating class. Dedicated to furthering his financial education, he has completed Level I towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Born and raised in Laval, Québec, Emmanuel enjoys staying active by going to the gym, long-distance running, and playing soccer and hockey.
Mathieu joined Team Marchand Filiatrault in 2024 after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Sherbrooke University.
In addition to his administrative duties on our team, Mathieu works closely with our in-house portfolio management team, actively supporting with the development of our internal analytics platform which serves to optimize our investment evaluation and monitoring processes. He also supports with the rigorous maintenance of transactions carried out within our team, contributing his knowledge and attention to detail to ensure ongoing accuracy and consistency of our portfolio data.
A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoys sailing, skiing, and golf, activities that fuel his sense of adventure and his connection to nature. Determined and committed, he looks forward to continuing his journey in the financial services industry and to learn and grow within our team’s stimulating and collaborative environment.
