Mary is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She has received her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. Mary has completed and tutored the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
Prior to joining RBC in 2008, Mary was employed as a Senior Manager, Tax where she specialized in tax planning for individuals and their owner-managed entities. During her career Mary has been employed by two of the large international public accounting firms and has a broad range of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business succession, estate and trust planning and overall tax minimization.
Mary’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.

Christy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Anthropology) from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 2009. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2010.
Following her call to the Bar, Christy was in private practice with a large regional firm and practiced primarily in the areas of Wills, estates and trust law and litigation. Beginning in 2013, she worked exclusively in the area of Will and estate planning with a major trust company. Christy joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018.
Christy is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.

Paul has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having begun his career in 1998. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Specialist (CHS). He is also a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and Advocis.
As Private Banker, Scott Christie provides comprehensive financial management and innovative banking solutions for high-net-worth clients in Halifax, the South Shore and Cape Breton Island.
Mr. Christie brings 25 years of financial services expertise to his role, including 15 years providing financial planning advice and counsel to professionals, their families and their business as financial planner with RBC. Drawing on this experience, he now acts as a trusted advisor to his clients, and facilitates their access to customized solutions, including complex credit structures, tax and wealth planning. When needed, he will partner with a broad range of specialists across RBC to deliver investment management, Wills and estate planning, commercial banking, business succession planning and trust structures.
Originally from Bedford, Nova Scotia, Mr. Christie has called Halifax home\ since 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s University and the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, which adds additional insight and perspective to his client conversations.
Mr. Christie is married, and the proud father of two teenage daughters. He volunteers regularly with the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank and the Sail Nova Scotia Handicap Committee, whose work focuses on making high-performance sailing and boating lifelong activities for Nova Scotians.
