Mark graduated from the university of Windsor School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He started working for the Royal Bank in 1994.  Mark  worked as a Financial Planner  in the Wealth Management Division of the Royal Bank  in the Halton Region for 11 years. 

Mark joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2009 as an Investment Advisor and continued his commitment to provide the highest level of service and personalised financial advice. He was named a member of the firm’s prestigious President’s Club. This group recognizes investment advisors who best exemplify the qualities of professionalism, integrity and dedication. 

Mark strongly believes that establishing a high degree of trust with clients is the first step in a successful long-term relationship. Grant Henri, CFP, PFP, Pl. Fin., TEP

Financial Planning Specialist

Grant attended Concordia University in Montreal where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He holds three financial planning designations, a Specialist designation from the Trust Institute, and is working towards his TEP designation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Grant has 20 years of progressive experience in various roles within the financial services field, including 14 years with RBC. He also provides support to the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada as a subject matter expert and has been teaching retirement and estate planning at George Brown College in Toronto.

Over the last three years, Grant has been providing support on tax, legal, estate and retirement planning strategies to advisors at RBC Dominion Securities. He has also written several articles on these subjects which are part of the firm’s library of financial planning content available to you through your Investment Advisor.

Grant's role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.

Catherine Nicholls, LL.B, TEP

Will & Estate Consultant

Catherine works closely with your Investment Advisor to provide you with information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner. Following your meeting with Catherine, she will provide you with a report outlining various estate planning opportunities for you to explore in further detail with your own lawyer or accountant.

Catherine received her Law Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 and has been a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1980. She was a partner in a small law firm and primarily practiced in the areas of residential real estate, Will and Estate planning and estate administration.

Catherine joined a major trust company as a Senior Will and Estate Planner in 1996 and has since then focused exclusively on this area of law.

She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Estate Planning Council of Niagara and the Niagara In House Legal Council Group.

Suzanne Schultz

 Suzanne Schultz is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner with a specialty in tax and estate planning. As an Estate Planning Specialist for RBC, she uses her knowledge of corporate and personal tax to develop personalized insurance solutions to meet the needs of business owners, highly taxed investors, affluent families and other clients. Prior to joining RBC in 2006, Suzanne was the Associate Vice-President of the Tax and Estate Planning Group of one of Canada’s leading multi-family office firms. She was previously a Tax Manager at one of the largest professional services companies where she completed her CA designation with an honour roll placing, and completed the CICA In-depth tax course. She has taken numerous courses on tax and estate planning, including masters level courses on U.S. taxes.

Suzanne is the co-author of 78 Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies, host of the HGTV series House Poor and has been a regular guest on the Business News Network. She has written articles and contributed towards publications for the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star and Hamilton Spectator.

Suzanne’s areas of expertise include the use of insurance for personal and corporate tax planning, wealth preservation, financial planning, estate planning (including U.S. estate tax) and charitable giving.

Dominick Hardy, CA, CFA

On specific Canadian securities selection, Dominick is one of my technical experts providing support on Canadian Equity analysis and portfolio structuring.

Holding a CA, CFA, and a Graduate Diploma in accountancy from Concordia University, Dominick brings with him a wide range of industry experience in audit, corporate banking, loan syndication and investment banking. Prior to joining DS, Dominick held the role of Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury Services at a large income trust.

Rajan Bansi, MBA, CFA

On specific USA securities selection, Rajan is my technical expert providing support on USA Equity analysis and portfolio structuring.

Rajan Bansi joined the Portfolio Advisory Group in 2007 from RBC CM Equity Research where he served as an Associate for nearly 3 years. Prior to joining RBC, Rajan was in a product management role at a buy-side firm covering Canadian equities and U.S. high-yield bonds. Rajan has also served in an investment banking role where he worked with private companies looking to raise capital or engage in M&A. A CFA charterholder, Rajan obtained his MBA from Pepperdine University (Los Angeles) in 2003 and earned an undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Toronto.

Matt Barasch, MBA, CFA

Matt is my technical expert providing support on Equity Options and Warrant Strategies.

Matt joined RBC Financial Group Generalist Program after receiving a Masters Degree in Business from the University of Toronto. He is a CFA charterholder and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Buffalo. Matt joined the Portfolio Advisory Group as a U.S. Equity Advisor in 2002 and subsequently expanded his coverage universe to include Canadian securities. In addition, he specializes in Equity options and warrants.
