From a young age, my parents were influential to my career path. They instilled the value of money, the importance of a strong work ethic and the financial golden rule – to save and not spend more money than you make. These values naturally complemented a career in finance and I joined RBC over 30 years ago in the service centre in Saskatoon. Years later, I moved to Regina and evolved through a variety of positions with RBC. I am fortunate to have had great leaders throughout my career that supported and encouraged my career growth. My experience in the RBC branch, cash operations, processing centre and working as a Mortgage Specialist Assistant contribute to my diverse knowledge of the industry. I was awarded top performer recognition from RBC and honoured to receive the Institute of Canadian Banking Letter of Accomplishment from the University of Regina.
Outside of the office, I cherish the time I spend with my husband, two daughters, family and friends. Whether we are traveling, playing games or spending time at the lake, they keep me laughing and learning. We are a big sports family and enjoy attending, participating and volunteering at a variety of sporting events. I think it’s the competitive nature in me – I come alive in that atmosphere. It’s also incredibly important for me to lift up my community and help others through difficult times. I am engaged with United Way, Regina Food Bank, Transition House and the Shoebox Project.
