Navigating Family Wealth

For over 25 years at RBC Dominion Securities, I have seen markets become more volatile, clients' situations become more complex — many families have built fortunes upwards of eight to nine figures with various tax structures, cross-border issues, blended families, holding private and public assets -- the complexities can be endless; yet the need for having a collaborative wealth advisory team has never gone out of style.

We are in the midst of the largest wealth transfer in history. Much of this inherited wealth has funded new businesses, new homes and impactful philanthropy. Sadly we have also seen an uptick in litigation, broken relationships and the absolute destruction of generational wealth.

I believe in educating through storytelling and have had several specials published in the Financial Post.  In addition, I brought Dr. Tom Deans to Vancouver for him to share with us his research that went into his latest book The Happy Inheritor. A seasoned corporate and estate litigator shared a cautionary tale as well as our in-house financial educator spoke about one of the tools we use in my practice.

Should you wish to learn more about these opportunities or wish to collaborate to helping more individuals and families protect their wealth, reach out to me directly at stephanie.woo@rbc.com or 604.257.3234.  My team and I are ready to help.
