Megan graduated from Queen’s University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree, and in 2017 from the Faculty of Law. During law school, she worked as a student caseworker for the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic, providing testamentary and incapacity planning services to clients, including drafting wills, powers of attorney, and guardianships.
Since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2018, Megan has dedicated herself to the areas of wills, estates, and trust law. Prior to joining RBC, Megan practiced at a boutique estate litigation firm in downtown Toronto, assisting beneficiaries, trustees, executors and other parties with both contested and uncontested litigation of estates and trusts, including, estate and trust administration, passing of accounts, interpretation and rectification of wills, variations of trust deeds, and will challenges.
Megan is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), Young Women in Law, and the Junior Trusts and Estates Practitioners Group (JTEP). Recently, she served as an executive member of the OBA’s Elder Law Committee.

Sara has two decades of professional experience in complex estate and trust administration and planning; business succession; cross-border tax planning (STEP Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates); family governance (STEP Advanced Certificate on family enterprise advising); art collection management and art estates planning (“Art as Global Business” Certificate, the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and European Institute of Sustainability, “Art Disruption,” NFTs and tokenization of Art, legal and tax planning); as well as, Digital Assets Inventory and estate management. She is a graduate of Masters in US Law at George Mason University and was called to the California State Bar in 2021. Omair is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner (CPA, CA, CFP). He holds a Masters degree from the University of Toronto in Management and Professional Accounting and has completed the three-year CPA Canada’s In-depth Tax program.
Prior to working at RBC, Omair worked as a Senior Manager in tax at one of the largest public accounting firms. In his role, Omair gained experience working with private companies, high-net-worth individuals, trusts and partnerships. His work included tax minimization through appropriate tax planning (corporate and personal), estate planning and business restructuring. As a Financial Planning Specialist, Omair’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting your Compass Financial Plan, as well as to identify and assess any related financial, tax and retirement planning concerns you may have.
