I was born in Panama to parents who were Irish and English. We then lived in Ecuador and Ireland, before moving to the Bahamas. We spent several years in Nassau, Bahamas, where I studied through high school. I then moved on to the US where I finished high school, and completed my University studies at Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, Connecticut.
We immigrated to Canada as a family, where I began my career as an Investment Advisor with a major Canadian bank-owned investment firm. After a period of several years, and building a successful practice, I moved back to the US with my wife to be closer with her family. While in the US, I worked with a large US-based investment firm, gaining valuable experience.
After a few years, we returned to Canada where my former Canadian firm offered me a position as an Investment Advisor located in the Caribbean. My family and I lived in the Turks and Caicos Islands for several years, where I built a successful clientele. The firm then relocated me to Panama to help with expatriate clients located there. After a short while I returned to Canada with my family to join RBC Dominion Securities in Vancouver.
At RBC I came to realize that my experience of living and working in various countries was of great value to many clients. It also became apparent that there was common theme with not-for-profit organizations in creating simple solutions, in an often complex environment. I built a strong network of RBC, and external professionals with whom I work closely to help our mutual clients.
I continue building my business helping cross border families, and not-for-profit organizations, with the complexities of protecting and growing their wealth.
On the personal side, my wife and I enjoy an active Vancouver lifestyle of sailing, skiing and being outdoors, while also watching our son’s soccer games, with our black lab also in tow whenever possible.
