Joshua Kingsmill is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years’ experience in the financial markets, focused on advising individuals and companies on their financial affairs. He has an undergraduate degree from Laval in Quebec City, a graduate degree from the Sorbonne in Paris, and an MBA from University of Toronto’s Rothman School of Management. His past roles in Canada and London, England as both an investment banker and as a financial advisor provide his clients with a well-rounded perspective on their financial matters.
Ten years ago, making a move from Capital Markets to focus exclusively on an advisory role, he has been a Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager at RBC DS for the last six years. Joshua is known for his thoughtful approach to helping families and business owners address their financial needs.
Joshua is also a holder of the Chartered Investment Manager designation and registered across Canada as a portfolio manager, a designation reserved for the highest level of investment manager in the industry. As a Portfolio Manager, he has a fiduciary duty to act with care, honesty and good faith, always in the best interest of his clients. He is also Options and Futures licensed, as well as holding an insurance designation.
As part of his commitment to keeping his clients informed, Joshua also authors a weekly financial column that focuses on providing insights and timely takeaways and actionable ideas in a clear, concise manner.
Away from the office, Joshua is married, has three children, and volunteers as a Cub leader for his oldest son’s cub pack (paying it forward from his time as a Scouter growing up in Yellowknife, NWT). He is on the board of his local Tennis Club, the North Toronto Tennis Club in Lytton Park. He is an avid Golfer and Tennis Player, and Skies with his family at Caledon Ski Club, and spends time at his Cottage in the summer with his family.
