Tim Waller has been in the investment industry for 13 years and with RBC Wealth Management since 2013. Tim has been part of Ord Wealth Private Management since 2017, providing our clients with extensive financial advice and exceptional service. He is heavily involved with our discretionary portfolio management program, including security research & analysis; asset allocation decisions; portfolio rebalancing and trading. His attention to detail ensures that all of our client portfolios are as tax efficient as possible and are set up to achieve their individual goals. In addition, Tim also helps develop financial plans for clients and is the lead writer on our monthly “Not Your ORDinary Newsletter” publication. His work exemplifies our team’s commitment to a seamless client experience.
Tim is a graduate with an Honours degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. Tim earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2017 by completing the Wealth Management Essentials, Portfolio Management Techniques and Advanced Investment Strategies courses. He also has his options license. In 2022, he was granted the title of Associate Portfolio Manager to highlight his specialization and knowledge of discretionary portfolio management.
Tim lives with his family in Oakville and spends much of his time away from the office on the baseball diamond. He has played for the Dundas Terrapins of the Golden Horseshoe Baseball League for the past 18 years and is an Assistant Coach for the Oakville A’s U13 AA team. He also loves attempting to shoot 79 on the golf course or traveling anywhere with Bethany, Lucas and Ben.
