Rossi - Wearing new Christmas PJ’s and having pizza on Christmas Eve is a family tradition, and has been as long as I remember. Even when we aren’t home we all put our jammies on, have pizza, and watch a Christmas movie together.
Kirsten - Every year on Christmas morning, my father-in-law hands each of us an egg at the breakfast table. All the eggs are hardboiled except for one that is left raw. Then we all crack the eggs on our foreheads at the same time and hope for the best!
Jennifer - This year brought many things I am grateful for, my kids, my parents moving to the Okanagan to be closer to their grandkids and joining the Hymers Group. I look forward to 2023 and hope to celebrate a milestone birthday abroad.
Pam - Christmas Eve is spent at my parents, who took over hosting a large group of family from my Nana who had hosted us since I was a baby! It’s a great night filled with loveable people, delicious food, and tons of laughs. I sweet talk my dad into making me homemade fudge, he tries to tell me he doesn’t remember how to, but I know he does, and it turns out great every time.
Rhonda - With a grandmother who grew up in Prince Edward Island our family Christmas tradition was creamed lobster on fresh baked toast over the wood stove at the family farm in Manitoba. Although there is no longer a wood stove, it is a family tradition that we love and continue.
Darren - Every year I try to watch the original Grinch and Charlie Brown Christmas specials. Nothing reminds me more of my childhood than those two shows.
Marnie - Every Christmas Eve, we make Pina Coladas and open one gift to make the night feel more tropical.
Kait - We like to indulge in a seafood feast on Christmas Eve in an attempt to balance out the week of turkey leftovers we have after Christmas. A relatively new tradition since moving to the West Coast, you can catch us skiing on Boxing Day, seeking out the best powder.
Kuan - We started a new tradition with our daughter of going to the Santa Parade every year. She loves it!
