While driven to succeed, it is Patrick's family that brings him the most joy. Together they enjoy parks, travelling, and biking. He is fluent in Polish, German and English, and remains active in the industry by volunteering for Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada. He's also proud of curating the best espresso not found in your local coffee shop.
Nasim Charkhandeh brings more than 16 years of industry experience to her role as Regional Trust Advisor in Edmonton, Alberta. Her depth of experience, coupled with her professionalism and dedication to client service, serves Nasim well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.
Nasim can discuss estate settlement and administration services, trustee services, trust structures, and other specialized services offered through RBC Royal Trust. She works with individuals, families and businesses who wish to protect their assets and transfer their wealth for generations. Clients also appreciate her sensitivity to the often-difficult decisions and sometimes overwhelming responsibilities that can go hand in hand with the role of executor.
A graduate of Dalhousie University with an MBA specializing in Financial Services, Nasim has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise with key industry designations, such as the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. She is also a member of STEP Canada.
Nasim will provide a tailored solution to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues.
Bryn Bezaire graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.A. in 2002 and with a Bachelor of Laws in 2005. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006.
Early in her career Bryn briefly practiced family law, but for the 14 years prior to joining RBC, she practiced exclusively in the areas of Wills, estate planning, incapacity planning, estate probate, estate administration, and trusts. Her practice included advising on high net worth estates, cross border estates, and tax matters relating to estate planning, as well as making various court applications including passing of accounts, validation and rectification, and Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship matters. The majority of her Wills and estates practice took place at a boutique Wills and estates law firm and later at a mid-sized full service law firm.
Bryn has spoken at many public and private seminars on the importance of proper estate planning, including planning for incapacity and succession. For many years she was a regular speaker during Edmonton Wills Week, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Maggie is both a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Prior to joining RBC, Maggie was employed as an international tax manager at one of the leading accounting firms where she specialized in Canadian, U.S. and cross-border personal income taxation providing tax planning and preparation services to a variety of clients.
As a Financial Planning Specialist, Maggie’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting your Compass Financial Plan and to identify and assess any related financial and tax planning concerns you might have.
Arun is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and has completed CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Course.
Prior to joining RBC, Arun was a tax manager with a large international public accounting firm. His professional focus is in the areas of personal and corporate tax compliance, corporate reorganizations and tax planning, personal tax planning, as well as trust and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses.
As a Financial Planning Specialist, Arun’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting your Compass Financial Plan, as well as, to identify and assess any related financial, tax, and retirement planning concerns you may have.
Rachel is a Risk Assessment Insurance Specialist with 25 years of industry experience. She is dedicated to helping clients protect and preserve their wealth, possessions and lifestyle. Rachel started her career at Abbey Insurance Brokers in Northern Ireland where she held numerous roles from administrative assistant to assistant manager.
In 2013, Rachel moved to Canada after the recession in search of a better life. She settled in Edmonton, Alberta with her husband where she fell back into the insurance industry. During this time she rediscovered her passion for insurance and helping clients protect what matters most to them – their lifestyle. Prior to joining RBC, Rachel had the opportunity to work at CMB Insurance. In her role, she was responsible for building their VIP personal lines book of business.
Along with a diploma in Management, Rachel is currently working towards her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. When not taking care of clients, you may find Rachel travelling, reading, cooking, watching Netflix, attending concerts and festivals, or skiing with her husband and daughter in Jasper.
