Duane was born and raised in Trail, BC where he graduated from J.Lloyd Crowe Secondary. Upon graduation Duane attended Selkirk College for a year before transferring to the University of Toronto where he majored in Commerce and Economics.After receiving his Bachelors degree in 1989, Duane moved back to BC where he joined Royal Bank of Canada and started his career in Financial Services. Since joining RBC, Duane's career has taken him to communities such as Vancouver, Hazelton, Salmon Arm, Quesnel and finally Prince George.His experience includes Customer Service, Human Resources, Operations and Business Banking Lending. From this experience Duane has learned to recognize the value clients place on their time and on the service they receive. He has also learned how hard clients work for their money and the management of their finances comes with great responsibility. As a result, Duane is conservative by nature recognizing Capital Preservation as of significant importance followed by Long Term Growth.Growing up in Trail, Duane has always been sports minded, involved in baseball, hockey, skiing and golf. Duane has continued on with sports, playing and coaching, and as of late is involved with the coaching of his own kids. If not watching his children, Duane can often be found enjoying an early game of golf.
