We are incredibly proud of the team we’ve built – one with the positive attitude and complementary experience to enhance every aspect of your financial life.
Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
Coming from a family line of business owners, Charles’ father was his first window into the multi-faceted wealth needs of entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families. “Entrepreneurs need a lot more than investment return,” Charles continued to learn, and will now often tell. “They have unique tax, estate, and financial needs that should be planned for in a coordinated fashion.” Charles pursued a career in delivering just that, with a team of dedicated financial professionals and the partnership of financial specialists at RBC and beyond.
So, Charles obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Université Laval and went on to establish his own financial advisory practice. He later merged with Rémi Tremblay in order to offer his clients and Remi’s a greater breadth of expertise and support. Today, the two partners are proud to deliver a wealth service that seizes every opportunity for enhanced financial growth and peace of mind.
Charles leads our wealth management division, taking great joy in learning about your story, family, business, and financial priorities, and accompanying you through generations of wealth planning. He collaborates with our team members and industry partners (estate planners, business succession specialists, tax experts, etc.) to action a personalized strategy and bring you closer to your goals with each new day.
Charles is extremely proud of the team he works with, who each bring their own unique skillsets to the table. In his words, “My team completes me. We’ve found success together by knowing our strengths, and surrounding ourselves with the people who complement us best.”
Senior Portfolio Manager
With nearly a quarter-century of industry experience as an actuary and wealth manager, Rémi is the co-founder of our team and the leader of our investment management group.
Years ago, Rémi’s love of math and analysis led him to study actuarial science – exploring subjects like statistics, probability, finance, and risk. Among the topics he studied was portfolio management, and it quickly struck him as a calling. As he tells it, “There is a fascinating human dimension to investing. Of course, we consider the economic climate, and conduct ongoing market analysis, but it’s just as important that your portfolio aligns with your personal concerns, goals, income needs, and values.”
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Rémi managed his own investments while working for his family business, then became an Investment Advisor six years later, in 1997. Those six years were an important foundation for the next 20 – they taught him about the dynamic challenges entrepreneurs navigate every day, and the true value of managing capital well.
Today, Rémi is a valued advisor to our clients and mentor to our team of financial professionals. He works hard to earn your trust, designing creative and customized investment solutions to alleviate the stress of wealth management and help achieve your important life goals.
Born and raised in Québec, Rémi proudly supports our community through a wide range of initiatives and partnerships. He loves to stay active by jogging, downhill skiing, or playing badminton and seizes every opportunity he can to spend time in the great outdoors.
Dany’s first finance course in university served as a powerful catalyst – affirming his decision that financial services was the career path for him. He read every finance book he could get his hands on, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in finance from Université Laval.
Now a CFA charterholder with over a decade of industry experience, Dany is a critical and valued member of our investment committee. He monitors your portfolio closely, working with Rémi to adjust asset allocation and manage investment risk with your individual goals in mind. Dany is also responsible for uncovering new opportunities, based on rigorous research and analysis.
Despite Dany’s knack for math, he’ll be the first to tell you that “we are not in the numbers business, we are in the relationship business.” By this, he means that all our efforts, in investing and beyond, are guided by our relationship with you. Dany loves to catch up with clients, understand their best interests inside and out, and personalize their investment strategy to their needs.
Dany used to coach hockey and still plays. He loves to spend time with his young and growing family, partner Emilie, daughter Penelope, and dog Philly.

A knack for numbers and desire to help others led Mélissa to pursue a career in financial services. Then, she got to know someone in the field and was further intrigued by the ever-changing nature of the industry. Jean-François has always been fascinated by the world of finance. He first joined the industry in 2013 as an Estate Planning Assistant, learning about how insurance can be used to minimize tax and secure inter-generational wealth. A few years later, he joined us at Groupe DeBlois & Tremblay, where he quickly became an integral member of our service team.
Jean-François enjoys how every day in wealth management is different. “We’re never bored, to say the least. This industry pushes us to evolve with it and continuously learn, making every day exciting.” Jean-François’s background makes him an excellent resource for any questions relating to your insurance policies or tax slips. He always appreciates an opportunity to catch up or help you gain clarity, or to collaborate with your accountant to ensure your financial affairs are organized and tax-efficient.
Jean-François grew up on a Quebec farm. He has always been passionate about the arts, and loves to work on handicrafts, paint, or visit art galleries and museums. On weekends, he can often be found on a run or hike outdoors.
Jennifer’s first role in financial services was a customer service position for a mutual fund company. Quickly fascinated, her eagerness to learn and her client-first service approach led to several different roles at the firm, such as Investment Associate and Assistant Manager. Eventually, and thankfully for us, she followed her curiosity to Group DeBlois & Tremblay, joining us in 2019.
Our teammates and clients all agree: Jennifer’s positivity and resourcefulness are truly infectious. She supports clients with a wide range of tasks, such as transacting trades, opening accounts, and navigating WM Online. Jennifer appreciates being a part of such an experienced team, where she can continue to expand her knowledge and keep pace with a fast-evolving industry.
Jennifer is originally from Saint-Georges de Beauce. She visits home most weekends, where she spends time with her nephews and parents.

Alexandra initially had plans to become a lawyer, but becoming familiar with the work of her father – Rémi Tremblay – gave her a unique perspective on how interesting and important the financial services field could be. She’s always had a strong desire to build relationships with clients, and joining our team for the summer of 2014 provided a closer look at how rewarding it is to get to know our clientele.
For now, her role with our team is part-time, until she graduates in 2021 from the Université de Sherbrooke with her master’s degree in taxation. Alexandra also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Université Laval and the financial planner designation from the Institut Québécois de Planification Financière (IQPF).
After work, Alexandra enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending quality time with family and friends.
