This year, I turned 50.
And I continue to find myself drawn to reflection as I embrace the next half century.
I ask myself…
Who do I need to be?
Who do I need to call on?
And, I remind myself of the Marianne Williamson’s words:
‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light,
not our darkness,
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.’
I remind myself
I attract what I want
by being what I want.
‘To thine own self be true.’ -- William Shakespeare
Can you relate, Self-Made Nation?
How do you deal with milestones? Do you quieten down and reflect? Do you gear up and celebrate? Or is it somewhere in between?
I’d love to know!
