I'm back to finish out this 5-part mini series on the EOS way. To wrap up today, I wanted to tell you why I chose to bring this series to you all in the first place. The answer is this. Fundamentally, as business owners, we are all feeling the pinch when it comes to time, money, and people. Those are common frustrations for founders across the board. Often, with news headlines and social feeds filled with talk of recession, it’s easy to get anxious and fearful. It’s important to remember that these frustrations are not only common, and challenging, but they are also possibilities. Obstacles and opportunities are two sides of the same coin in business.

In this series, I spoke with Scott Morin, owner and lead consultant of Bytown Ventures.

He is the consultant who is leading the charge in Ottawa with the Entrepreneurial Operating System. We talked about some strategies that you, as a business owner, could put in place in order to create professional systems, standard operating procedures, and really qualify the cultural values of your business. While doing this, it’s also important to create a flow and a cadence of meetings so that you can invite more productivity and efficiency into your business.

If you’re curious about diving deeper into EOS, I encourage you to visit the blog section of my website and read the last few posts which cover different aspects of the journey. If you prefer the audio medium, you’ll find my podcast, “I’m a Millionaire! So Now What?” here.

To conclude the series, I wanted to give you a set of additional resources (particularly for people who like to read or listen to books). These books will support your exploration into the EOS way.

  1. Traction by Gino Wickman

  2. Mastering the Rockefeller Habits by Verne Harnish

  3. Breeding Gazelles by Dan Bradbury

  4. Double Double by Cameron Herold

  5. Who not how by Dan Sullivan

  6. The E Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber

These books cover growth, creating processes and systems, niching down, creating standard operating procedures, and ways of celebrating your team. They are simply filled with different takeaways so dive into whatever catches your eye, and good luck!

And finally, an invitation

This EOS mini series is sponsored by “Elevated Conversations” with me, Colleen O'Connell Campbell, a roundtable mastermind for co-founders and business owners who want a cash rich exit in the next five to 10 years.

If you’re in Ottawa, you may be interested to hear that I'm reintroducing “Elevated Conversations” which originated in 2018 where I brought together smart investors and business owners to talk about interesting topics in technology and finance that are disrupting our world. With COVID and the end of dinner parties, we moved to virtual roundtables and now I’m bringing back masterminds in person. Let me know via LinkedIn or email if you’re interested. The date is between the last week of October and the first week of November in 2022.
