Senior Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor
When Danny joined his wife and father-in-law in their wealth management practice at RBC Dominion Securities in 2000, little did he know it would become his life’s work for the next 23 years (and counting). Danny is the team’s Senior Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor, and leads a team, managing $600 million in client assets. He and his team cover all facets of wealth management – from financial, estate, tax and retirement to insurance and business succession. Danny is passionate about “being able to make a difference in people’s lives and helping them make sound financial decisions that will have a positive impact on them and their family.”
Clients and colleagues alike appreciate his knowledgeable advice, genuine level of care, quick response time, sense of humor, and his ability to simplify complex concepts without the use of jargon. Danny graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has earned the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and Certified Investment Manager (CIM, FCSI) designations.
Danny is a big believer in giving back to his community. His involvement with Donald Berman Maimonides began in 2001. Since 2007, he has co-chaired the RBC Wealth Management Donald Berman Maimonides Golf Tournament, and has served as a board and executive member since 2007, as well as having served as Foundation President of the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Hospital Foundation and Donald Berman Jewish Eldercare Foundations from 2015-2017. He has also served as a board member for Congregation Beth Tikvah from 2009 to 2011 and 2020 to 2022.
Outside of work, Danny enjoys travelling with his wife, Marcy, their son, David, and daughter, Carly, and spending time with family and friends. He likes to stay active through weightlifting and loves Scuba Diving. He also has a deep appreciation of pop culture references, including a particular affection for Batman and Star Trek, and has a love of American “muscle cars” from the 1960s and ’70s.
