Born and raised in Calgary, Matt has worked in the financial services industry since 2012. Over the years Matt’s passion for the industry has led him to attain his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) accreditation, one of the highest educational achievements within the industry. More recently his dedication has earned him the title of Portfolio Manager. As a Portfolio Manager, Matt can offer a discretionary investment service to clients. This allows clients to delegate to him the day-to-day minutiae of investing and can instead focus on their own interests and passions. To have been awarded the title of Portfolio Manager in this business is an honor and shows Matt’s commitment and stewardship towards clients. Matt’s expertise in portfolio construction, security analysis, and big picture planning have been integral to the satisfaction of our clients. His ability to convey complex financial concepts simply and succinctly is welcomed. Matt has a thirst for knowledge which continues to serve him well in this ever-changing, dynamic industry.
Outside of the office Matt is a talented multi-instrumentalist, most often found playing guitar, bass, or drums, and singing with his band at music venues around the city. Matt is also an outdoor enthusiast who loves to spend summer days hiking/camping and winter days snowboarding. When he’s not on the move, Matt is an avid reader and is typically followed around the house by his two sphynx cats.
