  • Income splitting
  • Taxation of passive investment income inside private corporations/holding companies
  • Implications to capital gains exemptions in business sales (and elimination of the multiplication of the capital gains exemption)
  • Converting a Private Corporation’s regular income into capital gains

Turtle Creek is an independent investment management firm with a unique approach, proven by an exceptional 17 year track record. This company provides popular investment opportunities for many of our clients. Previously, Mr. Brenton founded and was the CEO of the private equity subsidiary of The Bank of Nova Scotia, where he invested $300 million in control positions of a dozen Canadian private companies.

As the summer was coming to a close, we held a fun event where we toured a variety of different Vancouver breweries to sample some of the best brews our city has to offer. Some stops included: Powell Street Brewing Co., Coal Harbour Brewing Co., and Parallel 49 Brewing Co.. Snacks and good company were enjoyed along the way!
