Mary Isenor, CPA, CA, CFP
Financial Planning Specialist
Mary Isenor is responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management solutions for clients, including tax strategies (personal and corporate), cash flow management, retirement, insurance and estate planning. Prior to joining RBC, Mary was providing professional services to individuals and their owner-managed entities, specializing in tax planning. During her career, Mary has been employed by two of the large public accounting firms where she advised on the tax consequences of mergers, reorganizations along with estate and trust plannning.
Mary's role is to work with you and our team in preparing and presenting comprehensive financial plans to our clients. We are pleased to have Mary as one of our Wealth Management Partners.
Paul deJager, B.Sc, MBA, CFP, CLU, CHS
Estate Planning Specialist
Paul can help you protect the wealth you have worked hard to build through innovataive insurance-base strategies that minimize the impact of taxes on your estate. Paul has been employed in the financial services industry since 1998, and has extensive experience working with a number of Canada's largest insurance companies. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and holds the Certified Health Specialist (CHS) designation.
Paul's role is to work with you and our team as well as, your accounting and legal advisors to ensure proper proposals meet all of your needs. He can focus on both personal and corporate insurance solutions to help increase net worth, reduce the impact of taxation and secure wealth through a variety of life insurance, annuity, and living benefits solutions.
Sharon Avery, LL.B
Will & Estate Consultant
Sharon can help address your various estate planning concerns, and recommend the steps you need to take to achieve your goals - whether it's updating your Will, creating a trust or setting up a charitable foundation. Sharon earned her Bachelor of Law degree from Dalhousie University in 2006, a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University (1996) and a diploma in Community Services (1986). Prior to pursuing her law degree, Sharon spent over ten years in senior roles within the not-for-porfit sector in the Atlantic Region managing corporate partnerships, community and individual donor relationships and media relations.
Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Sharon worked in private practice for a large regional firm, and practiced in the areas of medical defence, health law, estate litigaion, Wills, estates. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Halifax Estate Planning Council. She currenty serves on the Board of Governors of Mount Saint Vincent University and on the Canadian Bar Association's National Standing Committee for Equality. Sharon has volunteered with numerous charity and community organizations over the years.
Today her role is to work with you and examine your overall Will & Estate planning situation, find efficiencies and ensure a smooth transfer of your estate to your beneficiaries.
Sharon will work closely with you and our team as well as, your accounting and legal advisors to provide you with needed information on structuring your estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner. Following the meeting, she will provide you with a detailed report outlining various estate planning solutions for you to explore further with your own lawyer or accountant.
