Starting out as a Client Advisor in 2000, Marcel rose through the ranks, gaining valuable experience in such positions as Financial Planner, Branch Manager and, most recently, Private Banker. In his current role, Marcel is responsible for creating customized financial plans and comprehensive wealth management solutions for business owners, executives and working professionals. He is committed to finding financial solutions for clients, and helping to solve complex financial matters with support from the abundant resources at RBC. Marcel’s deep banking background, expertise and credentials help ensure sound advice, expert execution and peace of mind for clients who need solutions for broad and complex wealth management needs.
A graduate of Saint Mary’s University, Marcel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He has also earned an MBA, Finance, from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. A firm believer in ongoing professional development, Marcel has also acquired the advanced industry designations of Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
Away from work, Marcel enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Amanda, and their two children. He also has his pilot’s license, speaks German and French fluently, plays guitar and is a competitive tennis player. Dedicated to giving back to his community, Marcel is a board member at Tennis Nova Scotia, and has been a volunteer fundraiser for the RBC Race for the Kids for the past 10 years.
