Continuous Improvement Mindset. As one of the top wealth advisors at RBC Dominion Securities, Canada’s leading full-service wealth and investment firm, Rhonda remains committed to continuous improvement and leveraging her innovative thinking, results-driven mindset, and unwavering dedication for the benefit of her clients. Beginning her career as a student intern in 1994, she excelled in grasping the inner workings of the financial services industry and quickly found her passion. “I fell in love with the markets,” she says, “but most of all, I fell in love with the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference in people’s lives.” In 2002, with a five-month-old at home and a dream of forging new ground in wealth planning expertise and service excellence, Rhonda founded a practice of her own: Hymers Private Wealth.
As senior portfolio manager, wealth advisor and financial planner, Rhonda is proud to lead a team that serves some of the country’s most affluent families, Indigenous communities, healthcare professionals, sports professionals, and business owners. Dedicated to providing a family office approach, she works closely with clients to build a fully customized strategy that uncovers their needs, priorities, and goals and recommends the right investment, retirement, business succession, and estate planning solutions to address them. Rhonda is well respected by clients and colleagues alike for providing her undivided attention, taking complete responsibility for her clients’ financial well-being, and always looking forward. To that end, she prioritizes learning to stay ahead of the ever-changing industry and most recently earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designations, expanding her ability to offer specialized advice to entrepreneurs and business family clients.
In 2013, in recognition of her exemplary integrity, performance, and service, Rhonda became the first investment advisor to receive the RBC Leo Award – the highest achievable honour among 90,000-plus employees. In 2022, she was a recipient of the Women of Distinction Award recognizing her initiative, dedication, and leadership within the firm, and in 2023, she earned the coveted RBC Global Citizen Award for her commitment to giving back within her community.
Rhonda is grateful she can enjoy life and a rewarding career in the Okanagan. In her spare time, she spends quality time with her husband, Jason, and three children while giving her energy and resources to the community that has been so generous in supporting her success. Rossi leverages over two decades of financial services experience and expertise, making her an invaluable asset to the Hymers Private Wealth team. As a teen, she always admired the way her mother’s financial advisory team played such a key role in the family business, and their influence was pivotal when she chose to join RBC as a personal financial services representative and eventually, the world of wealth management. She has since established herself as a trusted, caring, and dedicated guide for clients seeking to achieve their long-term objectives.
Today, as wealth advisor and financial planner, Rossi is pleased to have an advisory role that is every bit as rewarding as she dreamed. She takes great joy in uncovering clients’ goals, planning and implementing their personalized investment strategy, and getting to witness many of the positive outcomes in their life that come out of it. Her area of specialty is ensuring clients’ portfolios are aligned to their objectives, long-term goals, and cash flow needs, and she works closely with their tax advisors to ensure it is efficiently structured. To accomplish all of this, Rossi leans on her Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designations – the pinnacle of expertise for family-focused wealth strategies that makes her specially qualified to meet the complex and ever-changing needs of business owner families. In 2022, upon receipt of her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, Rossi was awarded the 2022 John A. Tory Award from the Institute for Advanced Financial Education, presented annually to the CLU graduate who achieves the highest marks for all course subjects in the year.
