Wade obtained an MA in Economics from the University of Ottawa, and an MBA specializing in Finance and accounting from Queen's University at the young age of 22, he had completed both graduate degrees.
Since joining the industry, Wade has achieved numerous designations, including Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. An avid student of the markets, Wade was the winner of the Canadian Securities Institute's Silver Medal and John R. Kimber Memorial Award in recognition of his academic achievement in the Canadian Securities Institute's Canadian Investment Management Part II course. Wade was also the inaugural winner winner of the Ottawa Main branch Investment Advisor of the Year award.
Wade is an experienced public speaker, and has offered numerous financial planning courses at Algonquin College, local school boards, and the Ottawa Public Library along with retirement planning presentations to various groups.
