Branch Director
Louis Ouellette is Branch Director of Vancouver Thurlow Branch of RBC Dominion Securities. In this role he focuses on coaching his team and providing ongoing support to the branch’s Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers and their teams. This includes addressing investment and wealth management needs to better serve our clients.
Louis began his career with RBC Dominion Securities in 1999 as an investment advisor in the Winnipeg branch. In 2001 he began his management career with roles in Calgary, New Westminster, Edmonton & Vancouver.
Louis has volunteered his time to many organizations over the years, including the Dr. Peter Center in downtown Vancouver.
Associate Branch Director & Senior Investment Advisor
I was born and raised in Vancouver, and am very proud to call it my home. I started in the investment industry in 1999 and joined the Vancouver Thurlow management team in 2008.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria, Diploma in Financial Management/Financial Planning from BCIT, and the CFP designation.
I have been married for more than 22 years and spend most of my free time skiing, fishing and travelling.
Associate Branch Director
Julie Sanders, Associate Branch Director at the Thurlow branch of RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS), has been with RBC for over 10 years and has been in the financial industry for over 15 years. During those years, Julie has held a variety of roles, including Associate Wealth Advisor, Investment Advisor, Associate Portfolio Manager, and Regional Compliance Officer. Her earlier RBC DS experience leading wealth planning conversations with clients, executing on discretionary portfolio management responsibilities, and supporting community engagement earned her a spot on the 2016 RBC Performance Cruise for going above and beyond in her role.
As part of the Thurlow branch, Julie supports her team through leadership, coaching, and supervision. She prides herself on providing prompt, thorough, and accurate advice to her team. It’s the details that matter. Julie also strives to continually add value by providing guidance on policies, processes, and other risk-related activities to her team and other internal RBC DS partners. Wherever possible, Julie takes the opportunity to educate her team so that they understand the why behind what they do.
An avid learner, Julie has earned a BBA in Finance from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the CIM® designation.
Born and raised in White Rock, Julie now lives, works, and plays in Vancouver. She is a health and fitness enthusiast, who enjoys healthy eating, weight training, Bikram yoga, cycling, and hiking the local mountains. When she’s not working on her fitness, you can find Julie cooking at home for family and friends or further exploring her passion for wine.
Paul started his financial services tenure with RBC Dominion Securities in 2019. Initially working within the operations team and gradually taking on more senior positions to reach his current role as an Associate Branch Director, acquiring operational knowledge, supervision, and problem-solving skills. As an Associate Branch Director, Paul supports Thurlow in areas such as technology and compliance, alongside assisting Investment Advisor teams in their goal to fulfil RBC's overarching purpose: to help clients thrive and communities prosper.
Branch Operations Manager
As Branch Operations Manager, Nadia brings over 20 years of experience in people leadership and talent acquisition. She partners with the business to uncover their needs and provide strategic talent advice & solutions that help fuel organizational initiatives. Nadia is passionate about the relationships with her business partners, supporting organizational growth, and the candidate & employee experience. She thrives on sparking enthusiasm and motivating teams to deliver effective, creative solutions and achieve exceptional results.
As a Branch Operations Manager with RBC Dominion Securities, Ashley brings a wealth of experience in HR and operational leadership with a diverse of background including retail, customer service and theatre management. A dedicated people leader with years of experience recruiting, talent management, coaching and mentoring high performing teams to drive organizational objectives.
On a day-to-day basis, Ashley enjoys helping develop associates to reach their potential in both their role and professionally.
Outside of work, Ashley loves to spend time on the water with her partner and 2 cats exploring the BC coast on her boat.
