Tom has over 30 years of experience managing wealth for New Brunswick individuals and enterprises. His disciplined approach to managing wealth includes discretionary portfolio management, financial planning, estate planning strategies, insurance needs analysis and introductions to private banking. In addition to managing the Saint John RBC Dominion Securities branch from 1992 to 2019, Tom holds the distinguished professional designation of Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and has guided his clients through numerous market cycles.
Originally from Ontario, Tom came to New Brunswick to study forestry at the University of New Brunswick where he graduated in 1983. After working in forestry for a number of years, Tom joined the financial services industry in the late 1980's. He offers a unique perspective on the New Brunswick economy which he uses to assist his clients in managing their wealth.
Tom has been actively involved in his community with organizations such as the Saint John Board of Trade, Enterprise Saint John and Business Community Anti-Poverty Initiative. Currently Tom is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of New Brunswick where he also chairs the key Properties and Finance Committee, in addition to being a member of other important committees.
Outside of the office, Tom enjoys European travel, playing golf, skiing, patronizing the local arts scene and fine food. Always open to new challenges, in 2019 he completed the Open Water Diving course through Scuba Diving International. He and his wife Lisa and two adult children, Kate and Conor, and live in a heritage property in uptown Saint John.
