Making a Difference
Philanthropy has been an important aspect in both David and Craig’s lives as they take great pride in caring for and being a big part of their community. Stovel Asset Management supports various charitable endeavors, such as MS Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Sunnybrook Hospital, Boys and Girls Clubs of Ontario, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, 24h Tremblant and have provided international crisis relief for the earthquake in Hati and the Tsunami in Asia – to date, the family has raised over $10 million for these organizations.
The Rob Stovel Foundation
David founded The Rob Stovel Foundation in 2018 in loving memory of his brother, Rob. Rob was a caring soul with a zest for life like no other. With his large heart, Rob looked to bring positive change in others’ lives; whether it be family, friends, or strangers. In his life, he was heavily focused on community and social work, including his support of AIDS organizations to help fight the stigma and obstacles.
Craig and David encourage their clients to think about foundations as another way to leave their legacy as they can both speak to how this has been one of their most rewarding endeavors.
