Sheila grew up on the North Shore and now lives in South Surrey with her husband Brian, three teenagers and dog Roxy. After graduating from West Van High, her competitive spirit and determination led to a full basketball scholarship to Santa Clara University in California along with a Business degree. She then moved to Toronto and worked in marketing for several national Canadian companies before returning to BC to complete a Master’s in Business Administration at University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. She then taught business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey for 7 years while her children were young before returning to the business world when her youngest entered kindergarten. Her teaching experience instilled a focus on education which Sheila brings to her financial services role.
Sheila was licensed as an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities in 2007 and has since become a Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor. These credentials have been a game-changer, allowing her to focus less on administrative tasks and more on portfolio management and financial planning. In 2020 Sheila earned the title of Vice President and continues to build a flourishing practice helping individuals grow their wealth and live life to the fullest.
In her spare time Sheila likes to be very active with regular workouts. She loves to hike, bike, play golf and tennis almost as much as drink wine and eat chocolate. She also loves to travel and experience new places and cultures. One of her recent favorite trips was cycling around Tuscany, Italy and hiking in Cinque Terre.
