Dawn joined the Whitters Wealth Management and Financial Planning team in 2015. After spending 20 years with RBC Royal Bank in Sussex and gaining a wealth of knowledge through her various roles.
Dawn’s passion for providing excellent client service has helped her build strong client relationships throughout her career. While at RBC Royal Bank, she excelled as a Top Performer and earned many awards, including membership in the Regional President’s Club from 2009 to 2014. She also won the Silver Award in 2010 and 2013, the Gold Award in 2012 and was awarded the prestigious RBC Lighthouse Pin in 2010. The highlight of her career, however, was being awarded the 2004 Royal Performance RBC Cruise.
Upon joining RBC Dominion Securities, it did not take long for Dawn’s customer service talents to gain recognition; she was awarded the “Award of Excellence” in both 2016 and 2017.
Dawn is a fully licensed Associate. She has completed various industry courses including the Investment Funds of Canada Course, the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH). She also keeps current with the annual industry continuing education credits.
As an Associate, Dawn is your first point of contact for administration issues. She takes care of detailed requests and enquiries for our clients. She also schedules and helps prepare for client meetings. She is a key driver at tax time to ensure our clients have all the documentation they need.
Outside of the office, Dawn loves to travel, shop, and garden. Her real passion was growing giant pumpkins with her husband, Bill. The biggest pumpkin they grew was 1,813 pounds in 2013! It still holds the Maritime Record and earned Dawn and Bill acclaim as one of the top three growers in the world for that season. They were awarded a trip of a lifetime to New York City where their pumpkin was displayed at Grand Central Station and at the New York Botanical Gardens.
