With over 40 years of insurance industry experience, including a senior management position with a leading financial institution, Gerry D’Souza has worked with countless advisors and their clients, helping them enhance and protect their financial well-being. Gerry recognizes that tax-efficient, insurance-based solutions are one of the most effective ways to help clients meet their long-term financial goals.
Gerry has a Bachelor of Science degree, and has a number of professional industry designations, including the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). A strong believer in giving back to the industry, Gerry taught the Life Underwriters Association Training Course (LUATC), moderated the Field Management Seminar (FMS), served on the Advocis Board (CAIFA) and was active on the Advisory Board for the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO). Gerry’s commitment to his clients and the insurance community are a testament to his longevity and success in the industry.
Will & Estate Planning
Connie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1989 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
Prior to joining RBC, Connie practised law for 18 years. As a partner in a mid-sized full-service law firm, her practise was varied and covered the areas of corporate/commercial law, real estate, and wills, trusts and estates law. In that role, Connie advised her owner-manager clients on a broad range of business and personal needs, from purchases and sales of businesses, to shareholder agreements and corporate reorganizations, to will and estate planning.
For many years Connie taught the Business Law section of the Bar Admissions Course and was involved with preparing the licensing exams for Ontario lawyers. Throughout her career, Connie has been involved in her broader community, serving on many non-profit boards as well as providing pro bono legal services.
