Tony’s email signature says Chartered Financial Analyst. But what it doesn’t say, and what his clients value most, are the roles of which Tony’s most proud: serving as guide and partner throughout your wealth journey.
Nearly 40 years ago, in 1979, Tony began his financial career at National Trust (now Scotia Trust), running clients’ estates and working with investments. Then, in 1984, Tony joined the distinguished Martin, Lucas & Seagram Ltd. as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Counselor and Partner, earning the rigorous Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation along the way. While there, he developed his value approach to investing, learning how to analyze company fundamentals and consider the economic, industry, and geopolitical trends to find high-quality companies.
In 1994, Tony joined RBC, where he established what is today one of the leading advisor-managed groups – the Pringle Group of RBC Dominion Securities. Today, the Pringle Group is captained by three CFA-certified portfolio managers who serve high-net-worth and institutional clients in all of their wealth wants and needs.
Tony strongly believes in giving back and has shared much of his time and expertise to charitable endeavors, such as the Canadian Mothercraft Society, where he was a Board Member and Chair (1987-1993), and the Belmont House Foundation, as a Board Member and Chair (2004-2016).
