Pierre Arrien has been working in the financial sector since 2003. As an Investment Counsellor with one of Canada’s leading investment counseling firms, Pierre helps provide discretionary investment and wealth management services to high-net-worth private clients and their families, corporations and private foundations.
By taking care of a limited number of clients, he offers a highly personalized service tailored to the specific needs of each, supported by the significant resources of a global and highly respected financial institution.
As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Pierre is supported by an extensive team of individually-selected investment managers in key global markets, as well as tax and estate planning specialists.
Pierre started his career as a currency trader and stock trader on US stock market. In 2008, he joined an investment firm as an equity and fixed income analyst and then became lead fixed-income portfolio manager, helping institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals creating tailored strategies. Afterward, he joined a major Canadian financial company where his team, in charge of managing global bond funds, institutional mandates and the pension fund, had assets under its responsibility totaling more than $6 billion.
Pierre graduated from Laval University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialization in finance. He sat on the board of directors of the CFA Quebec society from 2012 to 2021 as head of governance. His functions have led him to participate in CFA Institute meetings in the United States, Europe and Asia, bringing together CFA leaders from all around the world, with the aim of promoting the interests of investors, raising standards of ethics and pushing for professional excellence in the financial industry.
Over time, he has been involved with various charities and for 10 years, with the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Pierre and his spouse are parents of two boys aged 5 and 7 with whom they love to travel and explore.
