Patrick obtained his C.A. in Toronto where he worked with Touche Ross & Co. (now, Deloitte) from 1981 to 1987.  He spent several years practicing personal and corporate taxation; during which time he completed the C.I.C.A. in depth tax program.
In 1987, Patrick moved to Vancouver to become manager of taxation for Pemberton Securities Inc. (now, RBC Dominion Securities Inc.)  He was involved in evaluating investment opportunities and developing strategies to maximize after-tax returns for senior equity traders and investment advisors.
From 1989 to 1991, Patrick worked on a contract-basis providing taxation, corporate finance, and accounting advice to corporate and individual clients.  During this period he directed the investment strategies for a $25 – 30 million short term money market portfolio, and managed $17 million per month of foreign exchange trading for Crestbrook Forest Industries Ltd.  He also negotiated with financial institutions on lines of credit and loan covenants for CFI and a private real estate developer.  Since 1991, Patrick has been an Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities.  Patrick has degrees from the University of Western Ontario,  the University of Windsor, and the Universite de Lyon, France.
An avid skier and sailor, Patrick has served as a Big Brother and is a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Vancouver Academy of Music.  Patrick was an active volunteer in Whistler for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and continues to volunteer in Alpine Skiing events.

Lindsey joined RBC Dominion Securities in March 2011. She graduated from UBC with a double Major in Art History and International Relations, and has since attained the CIM designation and her insurance license.

Lindsey assists Patrick with portfolio management, business development and coordinating the team’s comprehensive approach to wealth management. Melissa graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics. She started her career with RBC in 2016, and made the transition to Dominion Securities this Fall.

Melissa assists with all areas of account administration including documentation, cash management and responding to client queries and requests. She will also be your key contact beginning this December 2017 while Lindsey takes some time away for maternity leave!


Anna-Marie Lyons graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. She has completed all three levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-Depth Tax Course and is a Certified Financial Planner.

As an advisor to high net worth clients since 1991, Anna-Marie is a committed advocate for financial literacy and believes that a plan is imperative to meeting long term financial goals and ensuring effective estate transitions. Her role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting a comprehensive Compass Financial Plan.

A Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Public Accountant (Delaware), Sean holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario. Sean is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Away from the office, Sean and his wife Jacqui enjoy outdoor pursuits, motorcycle touring, and finding new destinations to explore on their travels.



Aileen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2003. She was called to the Bar in British Columbia and Ontario in 2004. She has completed all three levels of the CPA in-depth tax course.

In 2009, Aileen joined RBC, assisting clients with their overall tax and estate planning, and in 2014, assumed her present position, specializing in assisting high-net-worth clients with their succession, tax, retirement and estate planning. Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Aileen practiced law in Vancouver and Toronto, specializing in estate and trust planning, and tax litigation.

Aileen is the Chair of the Vancouver Branch Executive of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation, and a Trustee of the YMCA of Greater Vancouver Endowment Fund.

Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2007. She was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2008.

Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Melissa practiced law in Vancouver and specialized in estate planning and estate administration as well as small business corporate and commercial matters. Melissa assisted clients with a range of estate planning matters including drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Representation Agreements as well as matters related to the administration of an estate, including applications for Letters Probate and Letters of Administration. Melissa also assisted clients with matters relating to a variety of corporate transactions including incorporations, corporate reorganizations, corporate financing, share and asset purchase and sale transactions as well as the drafting of various corporate commercial documents including shareholder agreements and partnership agreements.
