Financial Planning Specialist
Kelly is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over fifteen years of post designation experience. Kelly completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree (major in Accounting) at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. She has also completed Level 1, 2 and 3 of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and is a Certified Financial Planner.
Prior to joining RBC, she was a tax manager at one of the leading international public accounting firms. Kelly specialized in providing tax preparation and tax planning to individuals, owner managers, corporate and high net worth clients.
Kelly’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.
M.C. (Mike) Macoun, CLU, CHS, TEP

Having entered his profession in 1989, Mike holds the leading financial and estate planning industry designations. But more importantly, he has a natural ability to make the complex simple to understand. Estate planning can be daunting, but Mike will “paint a picture” that provides critical clarity.
Mike leads his estate planning team with purpose: To earn the respect of advisors, their clients and everyone we come into contact with. He and Estate Planning Specialist Leisa Fels have varied yet complementary skillsets that allow them to serve every client’s needs.
Mike is approachable and sincere, with a desire to provide the best service possible. This is why his team is a perennial leader across Canada. He is married with two children, lives in Calgary and is grateful for the life he leads, and the job he gets to do every day.
Will & Estate Consultants
Vickie (Victoria) Hockley obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Calgary. Vickie is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Prior to joining RBC, Vickie practiced law at a national law firm where she advised clients on estate planning and tax matters including wills, trusts, enduring powers of attorneys and personal directives. Vickie also has experience with estate administration and charities matters.
Vickie is a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Calgary Branch Committee member and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Wills & Trusts and Taxation Non-Specialists Subsections.
John attended the University of Manitoba and received a Juris Doctor in 2002.
Prior to joining RBC, John worked with a prominent national law firm and a large trust company where he gained extensive experience in estate administration, Wills, trusts, powers of attorney and personal directives.
John is a member of The Law Society of Alberta, The Canadian Bar Association and The Calgary Bar Association.
