At the Pamela Yoon Group, we commit to help you achieve financial security and help you build your legacy, but more importantly, we want to ensure that the financial foundation you build today continues to support your and your beloved’s health and well-being.

On Thursday evening, we had the opportunity to have emergency room physicians, Dr. Lawrence Cheng and Dr. Ashley Riskin to share insights with us on how functional and integrative medicine help us live a healthier, happier and longer life in our “secret” outdoor rooftop garden.

As emergency room physicians, Dr. Lawrence Cheng and Dr. Ashley Riskin saw the need for a more proactive, preventative, and systems-based approach to health and healing. They educated us advanced health strategies and how biohacking—the process of optimizing biological functions through nutrition, technology, and lifestyle changes—can lead to peak physical and mental performance. From state-of-the-art imaging, advanced biomarker testing, mastering sleep cycles to personalized diet plans and exercise routines, attendees discovered how these innovations can not only increase healthy lifespan but also improve the quality of day-to-day living.

Another topic that was heavily discussed was the silent epidemic of diabetes. More than half a billion people are living with diabetes worldwide and this number is projected to more than double in the next 3 decades. Two global healthcare companies that came up in our discussion are Novo Nordisk and Abbott Laboratories. We believe both companies have been making tremendous strides in the pharma/med-tech industries in providing innovative medicines and wellness technology by continuous research and development. They take medicine from a disease-focused to prioritizing broader human health, mirroring us Vancouverites who contributes to the rising population directing their focus on preventative health care instead of sick care. We emphasize the importance of creating portfolios that include healthcare and biotech investments as they are constantly reshaping the future of personal health.

Beyond expert insights, the event created connections among like-minded individuals. The curated networking sessions allowed participants to share their personal experiences and challenges in balancing wealth with well-being. These conversations fostered a sense of community, as attendees realized that they were not alone in seeking a more integrated, balanced approach to life.

Traditionally, wealth and health have been seen as separate aspects of success, but they deeply influence each other. Financial independence gives you the ability to make health a priority, whether that’s through access to cutting-edge medical treatments, personalized wellness plans, or simply the time to focus on personal well-being. On the flip side, maintaining excellent health is key to maximizing productivity, energy, and longevity—all of which contribute to a stronger financial future.

This exclusive event emphasized this very connection. Pam as the expert in wealth management, together with the two functional and integrative medicine doctors provided attendees with a unique opportunity to delve into strategies that optimize both areas simultaneously.

It truly reminded us we shouldn’t have to choose between wealth or health. It’s about balancing financial prosperity with personal well-being. It’s about embracing both, fully and without compromise.
