Michael has extensive experience advising professional investors, business owners, families and individuals for over 20 years.
A graduate of Queen’s University, Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Economics. He also has an MBA in Finance from the Schulich School of Business. A firm believer in ongoing education, he is particularly proud of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation he obtained in 1999.
Michael has previously worked in several other areas of the financial services sector including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, business analysis and valuations, as well as sales.
His experience and credentials allows him to gain a thorough understanding of a client’s circumstances so that he can deliver sound advice and expert execution.
Michael is active in the community, serving on the Board of the CFA Society Okanagan and is on the Advisory Council for the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission. He also mentors young entrepreneurs at UBC Okanagan.
Michael and his wife Ericka have three children. The family is active in a variety of sports including golf, alpine skiing, baseball, soccer and tennis. He and Ericka also like to do a lot of their own home renovations and landscaping. Michael also loves carpentry and is learning to play the drums.
