The Humane Society of KW and Stratford Perth
The Stratford Perth Humane Society was established in 1972 as a branch of the Ontario SPCA. In 2012, Stratford Perth joined with KW and became one organization, now known as The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth (KWSPHS).
The Stratford Perth Animal Centre looks a lot different these days! In 2016 they moved from a small facility to a beautiful new shelter on Griffith Road in Stratford. The new facility has both communal cat rooms and condos, single and double dog runs with heated floors, a spacious animal kitchen, an in-house clinic and spay-neuter reception area, and a fantastic education room for community programming.
RBC Dominion Securities – Stratford recently made a donation of $4,000 to help animals in need. The additional $4,000 was allocated to our branch as the 2nd place winner of RBC Wealth Management’s Community Commitment Award – a national award that recognizes branch staff for volunteer efforts in their community, participation in environmental clean-up days and financial support to local charities.
