The robots may be coming to healthcare — but so are the jobs

Over the past few years, people have become increasingly worried about their job security with the rise in robotics and artificial intelligence. This article highlights the need for humans, as our society becomes more technologically developed and dependent. As mentioned in the article, "while routine, time-consuming tasks can increasingly be delivered by machines, it requires health workers with very human skills such as compassion, active listening and problem solving to interact with that technology and to focus on the kind of care only people can deliver." While this article strictly talks about the the health care industry and the future need of human interaction, it raises a larger point that there are skills like communication, compassion and warmth that can never be replaced by a computer. It is those areas in life where we as humans can differentiate ourselves from technology. As a friend of mine once told me, "do what computers can't."
