Tour de Cure 2023

This year, the B.C. Tour de Cure was extremely challenging. The first day, I rode 108km.  We were faced with air quality issues due to the smoke from the fires around us, and the temperature reached a high of 37c in the farmlands where there is no shade. My legs were cramping along the way due to exhaustion. But with everyone's support, our team was able to raise $17,888.  Tour de Cure overall raised more than $7.1million to support the BC Cancer Foundation to fund research and care in the province.

Thank you everyone for your support!

More than 1,200 riders came out for this year’s event, and Liam was able to raise over $18,000 in donations to contribute to Team RBC’s $130,000 total. The event raised $6.3 million overall to help power cancer research.

Junior Achievement

Liam is also a volunteer for Junior Achievement, helping to deliver financial literacy programs to students in schools across B.C.’s Lower Mainland. These programs will help the next generation have a clearer understanding of personal finance, and better prepare for their future.

The Tour de Cure 2021

The Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals is B.C.’s biggest cycling fundraiser, powering research through the BC Cancer Foundation.

Liam Wong joined team RBC to cycle 100 kilometers within the lower mainland on August 28th 2021. We would like to thank all the supporters who helped Liam raise $17,030 for the BC Cancer Foundation! Team RBC raised $196,664, and $5.5 million was raised in total from all participants of the tour.

One in two of us will face cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is the number one health issue of our generation. Through the Tour de Cure, we can power research to change this story. Donations will support world-leading scientists and clinicians at BC cancer who are uncovering game-changing breakthroughs and saving lives.
