Kristi joined RBC DS in August of 2020 after a 21 year career as an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner with BMO Financial Group. Prior to her Investment Advisory role at BMO, Kristi earned her Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary. When she transitioned to the investment industry in 1998, she completed her Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and her Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation. In June of 2011, Kristi also completed her Master's in Business Administration (MBA), and she is also a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).
Since Kristi's departure from teaching, holistic wealth planning and investment advisory have proven to be a definite passion. Kristi believes that meaningful client-advisor relationships are built on a true knowledge of people's dreams and life-long goals. A clear understanding of an individual's relationship with money (past, present, and future), is critical in establishing how that money will enable a client to meet their objectives and life goals, as well as to eventually achieve their desired retirement lifestyle. She is dedicated to helping her clients make informed decisions to protect and grow their wealth. As an Investment Advisor, Kristi is committed to a thorough and customized financial planning process. She believes this process is paramount to establishing trusted partnerships with her clients. A clear investment process enables her to devise personalized financial plans that provide clients with a roadmap for success.
Kristi enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband Gord and her family, and loves doting on her fur babies on their farm. She loves outdoor activities, especially horseback riding, camping, farm activities, skiing, and snowshoeing. Being from a family of animal lovers, Kristi owns 5 delightful furry companions (3 horses and 2 kitty cats). She also enjoys volunteering in western sporting events including the High River Battle of the Foothills Chuckwagon races.
