Karim has over 23 years experience in the financial services industry and joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2001. He has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, and has also earned his Financial Management Advisory (FMA) designation. With his continued education and experience, Karim possesses an advanced knowledge of investment management, retirement planning, estate planning and insurance.
Karim has years of experience navigating challenging market conditions, and is focused on capital preservation and conservative, consistent risk-adjusted returns. He believes in developing a level of trust with his clients that can only be achieved through a disciplined and consistent approach to investing that is based on sound fundamentals.
Active in his community, Karim has served on the boards of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation Planned Giving Committee and Semiahmoo Volunteer Community Policing Society. He also handles the donation of publicly traded securities for a number of local charitable foundations.
Karim lives in South Surrey with his wife Christina and daughter Paige and son Cameron. Outside of work, Karim enjoys an active lifestyle. A former Canadian National Triathlon team member, Karim represented Canada at the World Triathlon Championships in Perth, Australia. Karim also enjoys golf and kite boarding.
