Before joining RBC Dominion Securities, Jim was the President and founder of another full-service investment firm catering to high-net-worth individuals and corporations. Prior to this venture, Jim was a Vice-President of Nesbitt Burns Private Client Division. Jim opened the first Burns Fry office in Brockville, Ontario, in 1993, to manage investment portfolios for individual clients.
Jim's extensive experience also includes time as a risk analyst for the Union Bank of Switzerland in Toronto and New York and working in corporate banking for CIBC in Toronto. Jim was also a professional options trader for the Amsterdam Options Traders, trading index and equity options in Montreal, Toronto and Amsterdam.
Jim works closely with an extended team within RBC Dominion Securities and RBC Royal Bank who can assist his clients with personal and commercial lending, strategic insurance as well as will and estate planning.
Jim has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from McGill University in Montreal and is a graduate of Upper Canada College in Toronto.
