Bringing up baby at a financial advisory firm | The Globe and Mail | Oct 31, 2018

Different employers offer different levels of support for new moms. In some smaller firms the advisor may make her own arrangements, while large employers, like the big banks and their investment arms, offer more formal programs.

"Kingston is the top branch in Eastern & Western Ontario for A+ penetration as a result of Jennifer encouraging the branch to focus more on wealth management and less on specific stock selection. Outbound Estate & Trust referrals are top in the Region, and fee-based asset growth was 11% year over year as of September 30, 2018 compared to 9% for the firm.

Under Jennifer’s leadership, the Kingston branch has been involved in a number of community and charitable events. Jennifer has also been involved in the Women’s Advisory Board for a number of years which takes her to a number of events across the country. Many managers draw on Jennifer’s expertise and input for their women’s events.

Mentor Award Winner at "Wow the World" annual gala

Wow The World is an annual celebration event hosted by the Women of Waterloo (WOW) that acknowledges everyday heroes doing the extraordinary, often making a difference in the lives of others. 

The Mentor Award recognizes an individual who fosters the development and advancement of others.  They are a guiding light to those they inspire and mentor.

In Jennifer's words, "To me mentorship is a transfer of confidence; seeing the potential in someone else and helping them to see in themselves what is so clear to others."

 

RBC Women's Advisory Board hosts event "Healthy Wealthy & Wise"

Jennifer Lemieux, Co-Chair of RBC Women's Advisory Board hosted an advice event for the firm's women clients, "Healthy, Wealthy & Wise".

This educational seminar for women, reviewed retirement income, investing in the future, and managing wealth for the long term.

"Bocce for Boobies" Tournament Fundraiser

Jennifer hosted a "Bocce for Boobies" fundraiser tournament at her home in support of one of her DS family member's daughter who is battling breast cancer. The entire DS team and many of her colleagues joined for an afternoon of fun and friendship. She raised nearly $20,000 for Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
