This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight Allyson (Ally) Bornau, one of our incredible client service experts at Hymers Private Wealth! Ally is an adventurous spirit who thrives on new challenges both in and out of the office. From her love of the outdoors to her insightful approach to financial planning, she’s an integral part of our team.
A Few of Ally’s Favorites
- When Ally isn’t working hard to support our clients, you’ll likely find her exploring the great outdoors. Whether she’s running, snowboarding, or travelling, Ally’s free time is all about fun and adventure.
- When it comes to downtime, Ally and her partner, Austin, are hooked on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “I highly recommend it if you haven’t heard of it,” she says.
Did You Know?
Here are a few fun facts about Ally that might surprise you:
- Past Career: Before joining the world of finance, Ally worked in construction as a lead hand building roofing trusses. Talk about versatility!
- Relaxation Rituals: After a busy day, Ally loves to unwind by cooking or baking. She’s always trying out new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen.
- Dream Destination: If Ally could live anywhere, it would be the South of France. She fell in love with the region after attending a friend’s wedding there in September last year
Ally at Hymers Private Wealth
When asked what she loves most about her role at Hymers Private Wealth, Ally points to the people:
- “The opportunity to meet so many successful and ambitious individuals. Everyone who walks through our doors, whether they are a client, co-worker, or business partner, has so much knowledge and expertise. I love taking the opportunity to hear their stories.”
Her advice for anyone new to financial planning?
- “There is no such thing as a silly question. People can often be intimidated by the world of financial planning, but the best way to learn is to ask questions.”
Just for Fun
- If Ally ever won the lottery, the first thing she’d do is… consult our team! That’s a financial planner’s mindset for you.
- As for a skill she’d love to master, Ally wishes she could instantly learn multiple languages. And with her adventurous spirit, we wouldn’t be surprised if she’s already working on it!
