As summer reaches its peak, our communities continue to come alive with events that celebrate both the spirit of athleticism, and our cultural landmarks.
Hymers Private Wealth was proud to sponsor the athletes food at the Kal Rats Sprint Triathlon in June, and host a night of fun at the Caetani Summer Music Festival Friday Night Dance Party in July.
Rossi and Maggie helped to prepare food for the athletes for the June 22nd event, which had a great turnout this year. It was a bit windy! The first place finisher from Salmon Arm came in under 1 hour, seven minutes – super fast! If you ever feel like you need to find a great group of people to spend a Sunday with, we highly recommend participating in, or volunteering at a triathlon. The atmosphere is electric, and spending the day with people who all just want the athletes to have a great time and be safe, was a lot of fun. Long time organizer Darlene Wood said a happy goodbye to the event and passed the torch to Mel Spooner, who will be the race director next year. It’s a great event to “Tri” Athlon!
July 19th was a very warm, sunny evening, and a great night to enjoy local music in support of the Caetani Cultural Centre. Rossi and Maggie hosted guests for an evening outside with Cod Gone Wild and The Boom Booms; a nice mix of musical genres. In addition to enjoying the music, there was great snacks at the food trucks, and local beverages enjoyed. We look forward to next year’s festival!
