There is something magical about the holidays. It’s a beautiful time to appreciate family and friends as we count our blessings, and toast to the holidays and new beginnings in 2022. As a team, we feel grateful to be a part of your lives, and for all of us, the best part of what we do is hearing your highlights, helping you and your family where we can, and sharing a good laugh or two along the way.

This last year has had many highlights for our family. As you will see from my family photo, I am now officially the shortest in the family, even though Kaia is only just turning 13 in December. Kaia is relishing her competitive dance program and has found a new love in playing volleyball. Callum is enjoying his second year in the business program at Okanagan College, and Owen is busy working on his university applications for the fall of 2022. A trip to Tokyo to visit family has long been on our wish list. It may be a little ambitious, but we hope to make the trip this coming year, if the stars align.
May the joy of the holidays be yours, and may 2022 be your best year yet!
Rhonda

Reflecting on this year, I am so thankful for the health of my family and the friendships we have. There were no in-person races this year, but I set a personal time record for a 5-km run in an unofficial race in May, then beat it in November! Maggie turned 15 this summer and got her first part time job as a Starbucks barista, and Ilo found a new hobby in making electronic music. 2022 will bring a milestone birthday for Owen, and we are also hoping to travel to Italy for the first time.
I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas, and best wishes for a happy, healthy 2022!

As benign as it sounds, our 2021 highlight would have to be that everybody in our family (parents, cousins, siblings) have been healthy and safe through this pandemic. Who knew that we would still be in this nearly a year and a half later? We are definitely looking forward to a time where we can travel again – hopefully to Hawaii.
Happy holidays and best wishes for 2022!

Getting back on the road and enjoying some quiet camping up north was a highlight for Trudi and I. Our cat, OJ, has become quite the little camper and now travels like a champion. We were fortunate to have plenty of visits with family and friends this year, as well.
We have more camping on our calendar for 2022, and are also looking forward to a getting in a tropical holiday later in the year. I just missed my goal of losing 10 pounds and 10 strokes off my golf game this year, but it is still a work in progress! Enjoy the holiday season and best wishes to everyone in 2022!

When I reflect on 2021, I feel grateful to have joined the incredible and inspiring team that is Hymers Private Wealth. This year has once again found us enjoying the little moments amongst the big, and always finding time to connect with family and friends. Highlights this year included lots of boating and fishing on Charlie Lake, our family vacation to Vernon and Vancouver this past summer, and celebrating my mom’s 65th birthday with her.
What I’m most looking forward to in 2022 is moving to our new home in Lake Country this summer. Aaron and I are excited to live closer to our families and raise our boys in the Okanagan. We hear you have four full seasons there, and cannot wait to spend our weekends exploring our new surroundings (plus the many wineries!).
Wishing you and your family health and happiness in 2022. Merry Christmas from the Astren family!

As I think about 2021, the highlight for me has been joining the wonderful team at Hymers Private Wealth. I started with the team as an Administrative Assistant in October, and I’m excited to meet and get to know all of you! In 2022, I am really looking forward to our European family vacation, which has been postponed for the last two years due to the pandemic. I imagine it might be a lot like the Griswolds’ European vacation, and I’m sure there will be plenty of stories to share!
All the best to you and your families this holiday season and in 2022!
Nicole

AJ and I have been riding the high of getting engaged this past few months, and look forward to enjoying the wedding planning process over the next year. We also moved into our first home in December and have been dreaming about putting together our first vegetable garden in the spring!
Happy holidays!
Kaitlyn

Wes and I had a busy year working in and around our home – a passion of mine, for sure! We set out on a large-scale landscaping project that is two seasons in the works, so it’s safe to say that 2022 will keep us busy as well. Next year, we look forward to enjoying the outdoors, exploring the Kootenays a little more, and maybe finding ourselves on a beach somewhere!
From our family to yours, we wish you a wonderful holiday season!
Pamela

My children and I have enjoyed discovering more of British Columbia this year, including getting back into the Pacific Ocean, where I started diving. Friends pursuing local adventures have also motivated us to get more involved in the local community and environment. The time at home has caused us to find a better balance of home responsibilities, work and play. I look forward to becoming more active in the local dive community in the new year, working in-person with colleagues at the office, and travelling to see friends and family again. There are always new adventures on the horizon, as we have gained an even better appreciation of home and travel. Wishing everyone health, peace and happiness for 2022.
