As a former provincial chess champion, Hugo understood how each move can impact a game's outcome. Subsequently, he continued his apprenticeship as an assistant manager for a major insurance company, which allowed him to develop complex quantitative models and acquire essential concepts for fundamental analysis.
With this expertise, Hugo later became a senior analyst in the management of managers for a leading cooperative financial institution. On a team responsible for managing a multi-billion dollar asset, he obtained essential and in-depth knowledge in the valuation and selection of portfolio management companies. In addition, his duties allowed him to develop skills in the optimal allocation between the various portfolio managers to achieve a better performance profile according to risk levels. The knowledge he gained in this position is a major asset for establishing customized and optimal investment portfolios.
In 2007, Hugo advanced his career as a portfolio manager with one of Canada's largest private banks. The experience allowed him to solidify his comprehensive and integrated approach to wealth management for high-net-worth clients.
