This video, which was filmed back in 2012 when I was part of the RBC Olympian Program, is a good reminder to all investors; markets ebb and flow, they always have and they always will. We are all humans, we have emotional biases, and as hard as it is, if you stay the course, things should be okay.

 

The biggest caveat with what I am saying is one's definition of "course". I define "course" as your investment strategy or plan. If you have one that accounts for volatility, you should be good, in fact if you have the stomach (and resources), you may even be able to prosper. If it doesn't, well it's time you and I talk. It's never too late to build a plan and get you back on course.
